Purpose of processing
The spring grinding gives the fabric an aged look and a softened hand,
it is also possible to obtain the hand defined as “peach skin”.
The processing mechanically reproduces the hand effects typical of enzymatic microfibrillation,
both in its bleaching action (after dyeing) and in pure microfibrillation (both before and
after dyeing).
Mainly denim, casual cottons, lyocell and are treated with different final effects
cellulose, linen and viscose blends, silk, wool and blends.
Processing technology
Rolled or folded fabric passes:
between fabric brake bars (see figure A, point 1)
between two helical expanders (fig. A, 2)
on the unwinder (fig. A, 3);
in an impregnation tank (fig. A, 4),
in a squeezer (fig. A, 5) and in the wet state,
through a group of 4/6 smoothing bars (fig. A, 6) equipped with an oscillating movement.
Already polished for the first time, it passes into an intermediate washing tank (fig. A, 7)
through a second squeezer (fig. A, 8)
a second series of smoothing bars (fig. A, 9), which complete the grinding action,
in a tub (fig. A, 10) for the last rinse,
to the final squeezer (fig. A, 11) e
then it is rolled (fig. A, 12).
Execution of processing
The operator, either manually or through an electronic control panel, must adjust the
machine to ensure the uniformity of the final effect on the fabric.
The operations that the employee must perform are:
place the roller or bed in the center of the machine, with the right side of the fabric facing
the high;
sew the fabric to the drawing-in cloth, left so as not to unload the machine, or to the pieces already
in production;
àregulate the speed of treatment
and the tensioning of the fabric;
prepare the bathroom according to the instructions
washing and start processing;
compare with the sample
the treatment obtained, both during and
at the end of the process,
when finished, unstitch the cloth
or the piece worked to start
the formation of the new roller.
